PE and sport at Gaddesby
At Gaddesby Primary School, PE and sport are valued greatly and pupils are given incredible opportunities to take part in sport. We challenge our children to be the best that they can be in sport – we have wonderful success in a wide range of sports.
Each year pupils participate in external events such as Rugby (at Welford Road), Football (at LCFC training centre), Dance (at Melton Theatre), Cricket, Table Tennis, Cross Country and Athletics.
As well as ensuring excellent participation in many sports, in recent years we have also had many excellent achievements.
2022/23 – Football – Small School County Cup winners, Rice Bowl Cup semi finalists. Swimming – County finalists. Cross country – Year 3 and 4 small school winners (along with 10 county cross country finalists), Dance – Sky Dance winners, Gymnastics – County finalists (2nd Place) in Key Steps 1.
2021/22 – Football – Small School County Cup finalists, Swimming – County finalists, Cross County – Year 3 Small School winners (along with 8 county cross country finalists), Sky Dance runners up, Key Steps 1,2 and 3 county finalists.
